How the outtabid ranking actually works

outtabid is a permanent leaderboard where the only ranking signal is money. There is no algorithm, no editorial team and no shadow-boosting. Whoever pays the most sits at #1 until somebody pays more.

Every new listing starts at $5. That is the floor, not the entry price for the top spot. If you bid $5 you land wherever $5 places you on the current board, which is usually somewhere near the bottom on a busy week.

To claim a specific rank you pay one dollar more than the listing currently sitting there. Claim #1 for $12,041 when the leader is at $12,040. The moment your payment clears, positions shift down by one and the previous holder keeps their amount, just one place lower.

Bids are cumulative. If you already have a listing, adding $200 tops up your existing total instead of creating a duplicate. Enter the same URL or handle and the board recognises you.

Nothing expires. There are no monthly renewals and no silent downgrades. Your position only changes when someone else spends more than you did.
